Jen's commitment to VVSC has brought it to where it is today. Her strong leadership skills are a great asset to the coaching staff and swimmers. In addition to coaching synchro Jen works as a full time teacher for the TDSB.

Debra Thomson

Debra's great amount of experience makes her a valuable part of VVSC's coaching team. In addition to coaching our national level swimmers she spends time working with the provincial level coaches on figures as they are her specialty. Outside of the pool Debra works full time at IBM.

Brianna Davidson

Brianna is a valuable part of our coaching team. Her commitment to the club and passion for the sport make her a true asset to VVSC. In addition to coaching Brianna works as a full time teacher at Avalon Children's Montressori School.

Stacy Burns

• 12 years of coaching experience

Stacy is an integral part of our coaching team. She has been coaching at the 12 & under level for several years now and specializes in flexibility and conditioning. Stacy also works full time as a teacher for the TDSB.

Katie Hammond

Katie is a great asset to our coaching team and is a full time coach with the Village. She coached at several different clubs before joining our staff and we're happy to have her. Katie is finishing her final year of her Level 4 Coaching Certification with the National Coaching Institute.

Julie Scanlan

Ashleigh Dwight

Ashleigh is an intregal part of our coaching staff and we're so excited that she's joined us this year! She is an incredibly talented figure development coach as well as choreography. 

Nikki Quinney

• 1 year of coaching experience
• 15 years experience teaching swimming lessons

Nikki's experience with teaching swimming has made her an asset with our youngest and least experienced athletes. VVSC believes in a strong base of swimming skills in order to prepare for more difficult synchro skills.

Kristin McCoy

Tory Colby

• 3 years of coaching experience

Tory has swum for our club at the national level for the past 7 years. Her knowledge of the sport from training at an elite level has given her the tools to find success in her coaching. Tory is attending the University of Toronto this year.

Ashley Tilley

Ashley has swum for our club at the national level for the past 7 years. Her knowledge of the sport from training at an elite level has given her the tools to find success in coaching. Ashley is attending Ryerson University this year.

Catherine Bourrie

Catherine has swum for our club for the past 2 years, swimming at York Synchro previously. Her knowledge of the sport from training at an elite level has given her the tools to find success in her coaching. Catherine is full time grade 12 student. 

Tara Colby

• Coaches: Assistant/Support coach to Provincial and intro National level swimmers.
  

Tara has swum for our club at the national level for the past 6 years. Her knowledge of the sport from training at an elite level has given her the tools to find success in coaching. Tara is a full time grade 12 student.

Meghan Uhlman

• CBET Level 2
• Coaches: Provincial teams 

Meghan is a routine and figures consultant for our club as she currently works full time in Brantford. Meghan's ability to see the little pieces of the big picture make her a wonderful addition to the coaching staff.

Katherine Gregoire

• 2 years of coaching experience
• CBET Level 1 Certified 
• Coaches: Introductory Level Competitive Swimmers

Katherine's previous coaching experience in Rugby enabled her to easily join our coaching staff. She has transferred many valuable skills to coaching synchro; she specializes in strength and conditioning for our provincial level athletes. In addition to coaching Katherine works as a full time teacher at Branksome Hall. 

Gillian Ivany

Gillian is a routine consultant for our club. She has been coaching for 6 years at VVSC and now works full time as a Real Estate Sales Representative for Royal Lepage. 

Our coaches are the heart of Variety Village Synchro Club. We pride ourselves in fully committing not only to the team we coach but to the club. It is not uncommon to find coaches working together and helping each other out.
