What an impressive year for VVSC's own Jennifer Shaver. Jen's drive and commitment to VVSC has paid off; over the last decade Variety Village Synchro has climbed up the results and gathered us a lot of attention. Jen's talent has not gone unnoticed as she was awarded the Suzanne Eon Trophy for Coach of the Year at the Canadian Open this April.
In other news Jen was selected for the 13-15 National Team Assistant Coach position and will attend the UANA Age Group Championships in August in Puerto Rico. Congratulations Jen!!!
All competitive athletes are invited to sign up for a training camp the last week of summer to prepare for the upcoming season. Camp runs 9am-4pm, August 26-30th.

Congratlations to all of our athletes who competed at our annual invitaiotnal on May 4th & 5th, you continue to amaze your coaches with your talent and determination. Thanks to all of the parent volunteers and judges because the event wouldn't be possible without you. A big thanks to the core group of parents who go above and beyond to help plan this event, your hard work does not go unnoticed.
Congratulations to all of our Junior level athletes who made the club proud at their final competition of the season. On April 24-28th the juniors travelled to Quebec City to compete at the Canadian Open. Congratulations to Amy Armstrong who qualified for National Team Trials and placed 23rd in the country!
Vareity Village's hard work paid off at Synchro Canada's National Qualifier in Calgary, Alberta. Club records were broken when the junior team placed 5th in the country and the 13-15 team earned a bronze medal! The coaches were very proud of all the athlete's acomplishments and are excited to gear up again for nationals.

Synchro Canada is pleased to announce the hiring of Elena Podolsky (Toronto, ON, Olympium Synchro) as the Head Coach of Synchro Canada’s 2013 13-15 National Team. Maude Pelchat (Laval, QC, Calgary Aquabelles) and Jennifer Shaver (Scarborough, ON, Variety Village Synchro Club) will be the assistant-coaches.
